Arthritis is a medical condition primarily affecting adults, however kids get arthritis too. This symposium will provide an overview of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) describing the subtypes of JIA, current state of the art treatment plans, and the challenges children and their families face adapting to the chronic illness. Physical assessment parameters seen in the chronic illness will be described along with a discussion of pain management and family-centered care.

2. Complete the 11 question pre-test. The score for this activity is not recorded, it is only used to show a gain in knowledge.
3. View the slides and participate in the interactive activities.
4. Complete the 11 question post-test. Participants must receive a passing grade of 70% or higher to be awarded NAPNAP Contact Hours.
5. Complete the evaluation.
6. Print your certificate of completion.
