Learn about the latest evidence for diagnosis and treatment of otitis media, the second most common illness in the pediatric population. Treatment recommendations for acute otitis media, otitis media with effusion, and chronic suppurative otitis media will be covered. Proper pneumatic otoscopy technique will be reviewed, as well as when to use adjunctive diagnostic approaches such as tympanometry, acoustic reflectometry, and audiometry. When and which antimicrobial therapy to prescribe will be included.
